According to the Global Container Port Performance Index (CPPI) conducted by the World Bank (Word Bank - WB) in collaboration with IHS Markit and announced in 2021 to evaluate the seaports's efficiency in the world, CICT is extremely proud to be ranked 46th. Besides, Vietnam also has Hai Phong port occupying 47th position and Cai Mep (Vung Tau) standing at 49th position.
The Global Container Port Performance Index (CPPI) is assessed and scored based on a variety of metrics, with the main metric being based on the total port hours per ship call, with this being defined as the elapsed time between when a ship reaches a port to its departure from the berth after completing its cargo exchange. The Index is intended to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement that will benefit stakeholders from shipping lines to national governments to consumers.
That CICT entered the top 50 confirms again that CICT's investments in infrastructure have met the requirements of handling cargo, bringing high productivity and meeting customers' needs.
