3007/2021 Golden face in crane driver village Mr Bui Thanh Quang

Post Panamax cranes system – Part 2 – "Golden face" in "crane driver village."- Mr. Bui Thanh Quang
In Part 1, we got acquainted with the long-legged “Brand Ambassadors” of the CICT - Post Panamax cranes system. In this part, CICT would like to introduce "Golden face" in "crane driver village" - Mr. Bui Thanh Quang - who has been working at CICT since the early days when the port had not yet completed its infrastructure.
The fate with "blue long legs cranes"!
Before joining CICT, Mr. Quang had experience with many other careers such as forklift driver, shipbuilding...Each company he worked for a few years, but he did not feel suitable.
His fate with CICT probably started on a beautiful day in 2013 when he received the working invitation letter for the crane driver position. However, at that time, the ground of CICT still had not been completed. So Mr. Quang was sent to study for a crane driver's license in Hai Phong for six months. Then he went to the South to practice for another month before returning to CICT and meeting the beautiful "blue long legs" Post Panamax.

Driving crane for the first time.
Many occupations are very specific, and so is the crane driver, which is very different from others. You can imagine in a childlike way that controls a Post Panamax crane likes sitting inside a giant robot, using the arm to work. And at CICT, crane drivers have to sit in a cabin 36 meters above the ground, constantly look down, and using a joystick to operate the cargo grab. Indeed, not everyone can do it.
Feeling for the first time driving a crane was also very strange and thrilling for Mr. Quang, he honestly shared: " I felt dizzy more than motion sickness when sitting on a very high position and the cabin shaked constantly due to the crane movements, but then I got used to it.”

Invisible pressures.
Crane driving requires a steady mind and good health. Mr.Quang shared that each type of commodities requires a different way of handling. The crane driver must be very skillful and fast to achieve cargo handling productivity, especially when handling containers. Therefore, after each 6-hour shift, crane drivers like Mr. Quang cannot avoid mental stress as well as aches and pains in the shoulder and neck.

We have family here!
Although it is so hard occupation, the Crane Department can still gather young people full of enthusiasm, who dare to face challenges, pressures and dedicate themselves to the works and for Mr.Quang, they are like his family members. Together they share the pressures of work, joys and sorrows in life. In addition,  Mr. Quang also loves music. After hardworking hours, he and his colleuges in Crane Department had "released" a very fun music video named Mv. "Vo nguoi ta" (youtube link: https://youtu.be/GIx8vsjYP00), blowing fresh breezes into the spiritual life of CICT's staffs.
Up to now, Mr.Quang has been working at CICT for about 9 years, and perhaps CICT is a company that he decided to stay for a long time. In life, some meeting was thought to be chance but fate.
